IVERTIX is seeking experienced Data Subject Matter Experts (SME) to join our team. As a Data Subject Matter Experts (SME), your expertise in Data Science, Data Visualization, and Data Engineering will be pivotal in shaping the future of our data-driven capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support data initiatives by guiding the development of automations, improving data quality, and creating visually compelling data analytics.
- Provide actionable insights to defense leadership and decision-makers.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-phased digital enterprise solutions through a focus on process analysis, data transformation, and pragmatic change management.
- Lead data driven decision making utilizing data analysis and statistical modeling techniques to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Leverage historical and predictive analytics to anticipate trends, identify potential cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of different courses of action and identify effective strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Implement performance metrics that align to PSA objectives, enabling continuous evaluation of executive effectiveness.
- Lead the coordination of requirements meetings or conduct requirements workshops and sessions, with business and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Secret clearance is required; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Subject Matter Expert or related role, with demonstrated experience with digital strategy, IT project management, enterprise architecture, SDLC, or transformation.
- High level of proficiency in Python, DataBricks, SQL, Spark, and other Data Engineering and Data Science tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Must be in the DC Metro area and available to work onsite (Crystal City, VA and Alexandria, VA) 2-3 days per week.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Qlik/Qlik Sense, QVD/QlikView, and Qlik Production Application Standards (QPAS) is a significant plus.
- Recent DoD or IC-related experience.

Interview Prep:
- Candidates should be prepared to clearly articulate their experience creating data-related software applications from scratch (Recent evidence of this should be easily identifiable in their resume).
- Candidates should be prepared to clearly articulate data problems that their applications have solved in their past.
- Candidates should be prepared to discuss what technologies they have hands-on experience with and demonstrate in-depth understanding of those technologies during the technical assessment.
- Candidates should be prepared to clearly articulate their experience working with very large data sets/Big Data, like that of large federal agency.
- Candidates should be prepared to clearly articulate their proficiency with data and software-related programming languages and explain their thought processes related to problem solving.
- Candidates should be prepared to discuss their onsite availability.
