TS/SCI CIP Cleared Platform Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TS/SCI CIP Cleared Platform Engineer to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes-based platform. Your expertise in Linux and experience with Windows will contribute to the success of our projects. Proficiency with DataBricks is essential for this role, as it will enable you to effectively analyze and process large datasets.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and high availability.
- Debug and troubleshoot platform issues, applying your expertise to quickly resolve technical challenges.
- Manage configuration of systems and applications, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Deploy containers using Kubernetes, optimizing performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, automating routine tasks and ensuring efficient system management.
- Set up and manage deployment pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and deployment.
- Perform server management tasks, including patching and updates, to ensure system security and compliance.
- Establish and configure AWS services to meet project requirements and optimize performance.
- Work with SecNET and SIPR networks to maintain secure communication channels and adhere to strict security protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the team, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI CIP clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Extensive experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
- Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, containerization, and related deployment technologies.
- Excellent command of Linux systems, with familiarity in Windows environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in DataBricks for data processing and analysis.
- Experience in supporting and troubleshooting cloud infrastructures.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks.
- Solid understanding of configuration management principles.
- Knowledge of server management best practices, including patching and updates.
- Familiarity with establishing and configuring AWS services to meet project requirements.
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and practices.
- Effective problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work onsite at the Metro Park (Walker Lane Office, Alexandria, VA) 3 days per week, with 2 days remote.
